Damion Pechota is a writer based in Colorado. He has spent almost ten years in state policy providing non-partisan research and analysis on a variety of issues to state elected leaders, including local government and education matters. Previously, he worked in historic preservation where he learned about the Rocky Mountain region's storied history and discovered its deep social issues.

 

Damion was born and raised along the Front Range, a locale he often incorporates into his stories. His combined love of history, nature and social awareness are central themes in his writing. As a gay man, Damion is passionate about the inclusion of LGBTQI+ characters and issues into story narratives.

 

Damion lives with his husband and two adopted shelter dogs in Denver.
